Extensively illustrated and based on the most up-to-date research, Contemporary Art Mexico highlights 110 of the most prominent players in Mexicos buzzing contemporary art scene, including seventy artists and forty personalities and institutions. The artists, who have been selected for their relevance to local practice, their engagement with their peers and their international profiles, include such older-generation figures as Graciela Itrubide, Francisco Toledo and Eduardo Terrazas; hugely influential figures from the 1990s such as Gabriel Orozco, Francis Alÿs, Damián Ortega, Pedro Reyes, Teresa Margolles and Melanie Smith; and such emerging talents as Edgardo Aragón, Iñaki Bonillas, Adriana Lara and Marco Rountree Cruz.
